Royal Haskoning has been involved in the design and planning of many cruise and ferry terminals, where services include :-

design and/or specification of access walkway facilities (including one capable of reaching ship door positions over a horizontal range of 65m and a vertical range of 15m)

design and/or specification of RoRo linkspans including those capable of accommodating the comparitively high thresholds for fast ferries

planning and/or design of terminal buildings for passengers

planning of marshalling areas for ferry traffic to optimise the layout
In addition Royal Haskoning have also been deeply involved in the design and development of facilities for the revolutionary HSS 1500 fast ferry service between Dun Laoghaire (Ireland) and Holyhead (United Kingdom). The linkspan for this vessel is a floating semi-submersible structure and acts as a combined linkspan and mooring facility using hydraulically powered hooks as mooring aids.
