Ringaskiddy Ferry Terminal, Ireland

Royal Haskoning was engaged by the Cork Harbour Commissioners to design a large extension to Ringaskiddy Ferry Terminal, in Cork (Ireland).

Royal Haskoning design services including mechanical and electrical services, new mooring dolphins and footbridges, and a revised fendering system were applied to the existing ferry terminal.

The project included a detailed soils investigation, design and the preparation of tender documents.

Royal Haskoning have been involved in a number of related projects at Ringaskiddy including the design and supervision of a multi purpose berth, suitable for :

Subsequently the same team designed an extension so that two Panamax bulk carriers can be accommodated simultaneously. The berth extension was the sixth project at Ringaskiddy that the company has been successfully involved in.
